ValYou was founded with one simple, urgent question:
“Why doesn’t everybody go to therapy?”
In the midst of the largest mental health crisis in American history, this question pushed us to look deeper. Today, 1 in 5 adults—over 59 million people—experience a mental illness each year. And yet, only 43% of those individuals receive any form of treatment.
Why?
The barriers are clear:

At ValYou, we believe therapy should be accessible, stigma-free, and financially barrier-free. We exist to challenge outdated perceptions about mental health and to remove the obstacles—real or perceived—that keep people from getting the support they deserve.

Marquez Wiley
Marquez Wiley is the founder and CEO of ValYou. With a deep passion for advocacy and community care, Marquez created ValYou to ensure that no one is denied help due to the cost of treatment.
Drawing from personal experience, Marquez leads the organization with compassion, vision, and a focus on equity. Through his work, Marquez continues to foster a culture where mental wellness is treated as a right not a privilege and where every voice is valued.

Elizabeth Breden
Elizabeth Breden is the CFO of ValYou, where she oversees financial strategy, budgeting, and long-term planning to ensure sustainable impact. With five years of leadership experience starting as an intrapreneur at 16 she brings a strong foundation in strategic finance. Motivated by her own mental health journey, Elizabeth is dedicated to breaking down barriers to care and maximizing every donor dollar for lasting change.
